1976 - Qarne Shomron, the first settlement in Wadi Qana, is established

 

1979 - Wadi Qana is declared a closed military zone, the decision is repealed after popular protest

 

1980  - Establishment of Yakir and Ma'ale Shomeron settlements

 

1982 - Establishment of Emmanu'el settlement

 

1983  - Wadi Qana is declared an Israeli nature reserve

 

1985 - Establishment of Nofim settlement

 

1992 - Settlements begin piping large amounts of sewage into the valley

 

2001 - Establishment of Havat Yair settlement

 

2005 - Settlements begin pumping sewage underground

 

2007 - Establishment of Nof Qana settlement

 

2010 - Establishment of Elmatan settlement

 

2011 - Israeli Military uproots over 1000 olive trees

 

2012 - Israeli military uproots over 1400 olive trees 

 

2013 - Israeli military uproots over 2000 olive trees

 

2014 - Israeli military uproots over 1000 olive trees
